Early experience
Zhu Jun was born in 1964 in Lanzhou, Gansu Province. Influenced by his father, he began to learn clarinet playing in 1975.
In 1981, he joined the army and became an actor in the army's amateur propaganda team with his unique skills. In 1984, he participated in the 35th anniversary National Day ceremony with the United military band of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. He was reviewed by Deng Xiaoping and other party and state leaders, and was awarded the third class merit by the Central Military Commission. In September 1985, after leaving the army, he was admitted to Gansu quyi troupe and became a professional actor.
Acting experience
In 1988, he was recruited into the battle song and dance troupe of Lanzhou Military Region as a crosstalk actor. He performed more than 500 performances for officers, soldiers and people in Northwest China, and achieved third class merit once.
In 1991, he went to Gansu TV station and presided over the performance of Gansu Province, and then presided over the variety show "a beautiful moon". In 1993, he presided over the art program "East, West, North and South Middle" of CCTV, and then presided over the music program "China Music TV" of CCTV.

Zhu Jun's wife, Tan Mei, was a dancer recruited from Xi'an in 1987. In May 1993, Zhu Jun and Tan Mei officially married.
