Tangerine peel, the name of traditional Chinese medicine. Citrus reticulata Blanco is the dry mature peel of Citrus reticulata Blanco and its cultivated variety. The medicinal materials are divided into Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae and Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae. The ripe fruits are picked, peeled, dried in the sun or at low temperature.

Application site

The dry, mature skin of a plant.

Sexual taste

The taste is bitter and pungent, and the nature is warm.

Meridian tropism

Return to lung and spleen meridians.

effect

Regulating qi and strengthening spleen, drying dampness and resolving phlegm.

Indications

For abdominal distension, less food, vomiting and diarrhea, cough and phlegm.

Related compatibility

1. It is equivalent to Atractylodes lancea and Magnolia officinalis. It is used for the patients with cold dampness, spleen and stomach qi stagnation, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. 2, and hawthorn, Shenqu the same use, for food stagnation, epigastric pain. 3. It is used with Fructus aurantii Immaturus and ginger, and is used for chest obstruction and shortness of breath.

Physiological characteristics

1. Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae: often peeled into several petals, connected with the base, some irregular flakes, 1-4mm thick. The outer surface is orange red or reddish brown, with fine wrinkles and concave punctate oil chambers; the inner surface is light yellowish white, rough, with yellowish white or yellowish brown fascicular vascular bundles. It is slightly hard and brittle. It is fragrant, pungent and bitter. 2. Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae: the three petals are often connected, with uniform shape and thickness, about 1 mm. The oil chamber is large, transparent and clear to light. The quality is soft.

Produced in Fujian, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Guangxi, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan and other places.
