Ma Cheng was born in 1940. He is from Dalian, Liaoning Province. Good at comic books. People's fine arts publishing house. He graduated from the Department of Chinese painting of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 1966. Later, he was engaged in fine arts. He is now deputy director of the serial studio of the people's fine arts publishing house.

His works include Lu Zhishen, the romance of Fengshen and the romance of Qinggong.
