Early experience

Yang grew up in Hong Kong when she was a child. Her father was from Shanghai and her mother was from Taiwan. He went to the United States at the age of 15 and returned to Hong Kong three years later.

Acting experience

In 1992, Yang Caini signed a contract to become a singer of EMI record company; in the same year, she released her first record, feeling of love, and won the "Best Newcomer Gold Award" of top ten golden songs.

Personal life

In 1994, Yang Caini and Qiu Shaozhi fell in love after being introduced by a friend. Qiu Shaozhi originally worked as a lawyer in Singapore, but later turned to business. In 1997, Yang admitted her love affair and announced that she would withdraw from the performing arts circle and run Starz image, a company jointly owned by two people. In 2003, when the company was in debt, Yang Caini made a comeback in advertising and movies and admitted to breaking up. In 2011, Yang Caini and Qiu Shaozhi got back together. On November 2, 2013, Yang Caini, 39, and Qiu Shaozhi, 43, were married at W hotel in Singapore.

On April 27, 2017, Yang Caini took a photo on her microblog and announced that the twins had been born.
