Zhou Kangyu (1939-2001), formerly known as Qiu Feng, is a screenwriter, director and independent producer of films and TV plays. Born in November 1939 in Zhongxian County, Sichuan Province. He graduated from the performance Department of Beijing Film Academy in 1961 and died in a car accident on November 29, 2001.

Zhou Kangyu was an actor and deputy director of Shanghai Film Studio, and participated in the shooting of fans. In 1981, he was transferred to Xiaoxiang film studio. Now he is deputy director of art, first-class director, chairman of Hunan Film Association, member of China Film Association, and member of presidium of Hunan Federation of literary and art circles.
