Personal experience

In September 1999, Chen Qiuyan, who worked as an electrician in Xuzhou municipal engineering maintenance and management office, was transferred to the fourth sewer class as the monitor. On the day of taking office, she, like the other 11 employees in the class, put on her leather underpants and pushed the cart to the first stop of dredging a manhole on Huaihai Road in the urban area. The bad working environment did not make Chen Qiuyan retreat. In the past nine years, she has been working in the front line, and together with her sisters in class 4, she has been taking good care of the 100000 meter sewer and more than 5000 inspection wells in the western urban area of Xuzhou City. For many years, Chen Qiuyan has become the most loyal audience of weather forecast programs to ensure that there is no ponding in rainy days. Every rainy day, she can't sleep, thinking about where there will be water, affecting people's lives. If it is predicted that it will rain at night, she always sets the alarm clock at 4 o'clock in the morning to complete the inspection and cleaning of the road section before the citizens go out. On rainy days, people rush to the house, and their sewer workers rush to the road.
