Hou Xiaolin graduated from Harbin Institute of technology and Renmin University of China with a bachelor's degree in Applied Chemical Engineering and a master's degree in economics. In 1993, when he was teaching in Harbin Institute of technology, he participated in the national research projects on direct selling mode, and since then, he has been widely involved in direct selling. He once served as the general manager of Harbin qicaifeng advertising company and the deputy general manager of Haiwang health home. In 2007, he joined Guangzhou Qiaoxin group and became the executive president of Dongfang Kanglin. He is now the columnist of knowledge economy magazine, the Executive Deputy Secretary General of world direct marketing (China) research center, and the chairman of Guilin Saint Venn Technology Co., Ltd.

Hou Xiaolin has long-term working experience in both traditional industry and direct selling industry. For many years, he has focused on the research and practice of balanced scorecard management system, especially on the integration research and specific application of market operation management software system, direct selling elements and precision marketing mode.
