Xuanguang Temple

--Xuanguang temple is located at the land junction of sun lake and Moon Lake to commemorate master Xuanzang's deeds in Tibet. His spiritual bones are also worshipped in the temple.

--The yacht visitors can get off here and taste the famous tea eggs. They can go up to Xuanguang temple and have a panoramic view of the Sun Moon Lake.

Xuanguang temple is a Buddhist temple located at the Bank of Riyue lake, Riyue village, Yuchi Township, Nantou County, Taiwan Province.

 

Introduction of Xuanguang Temple scenic spot

Xuanguang temple, about 2.5km away from Sun Moon Lake, was built in 1955. It was originally the place where Master Xuanzang's relic was temporarily worshipped after it was taken back from Japan. In 1965, after the completion of the construction of Xuanzang temple, master Xuanzang's relic was transferred to Xuanzang temple.

The temple is located at the land junction of sun lake and Moon Lake. The exterior of the temple is a Japanese style temple building. The gold body of master Xuanzang is worshipped inside, and the plaque of "national master" is hung on it. The temple faces the back of the mountain and is only ten meters away from the lake. There is a dock under the temple. Tourists can take a boat to the dock and then go up to visit.
