Zhao Guoqing (1924 -) was born in Lincheng County, Hebei Province. He joined the Eighth Route Army in 1940 and the Communist Party of China in 1942.
During the Anti Japanese War, he served as a health officer in the health team of the 13th regiment of 385 brigade of 129 division. In 1940, he studied in the field health school for two years. Later, he served as the pharmacist and deputy chief of the material Department of the health department of Hebei Shandong Henan military region. During the war of liberation, he served as the chief and deputy chief of the materials department of the Ministry of health of the Hebei Shandong Henan military region. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he served as the deputy section chief of the health department of the Logistics Department of the Pingyuan provincial military region. In 1952, he studied in the Second Military Medical University for four years. Later, he served as the deputy director of the medicinal materials department of the health Department of the Logistics Department of the Nanjing Military Region and the deputy chief of staff of the 13 branch headquarters of the Logistics Department of the Nanjing Military Region. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in 1963.
