Dongwang market town
In February 2015, with the approval of the people's Government of Jiangsu Province, dongwangji township of Guanyun county was cancelled, and dongwangji town was established as the original administrative region of dongwangji Township, with the town government stationed in the village committee directly under it.
The administrative area of dongwangji town is 91.97 square kilometers (2017), with a population of 70554 (2017), and it has jurisdiction over 1 neighborhood committee and 21 village committees.
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name dongwangji town as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.
A brief introduction to the town
Dongwangji town is located 9 kilometers southeast of Guanyun County, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. It is adjacent to Yibei Township, Shizhuang Township and Baishan Township in the East, West and North, and faces Zhangdian and Chenji township of Guannan County across Xinyi River in the south. The terrain is flat, the soil is desalting soil, the economy is mainly agriculture, mainly planting wheat, rice, potato, corn, soybean and other crops. There are 15 industrial enterprises, the main products are salt, brick and plastic products. The main commodities of foreign trade are animal skins and rabbits, which are one of the key towns of animal husbandry.
