Wuma Township

Wuma township is under the jurisdiction of Gaize County, Ali Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is located in the southwest of the county and adjacent to Geji County in the West. It has jurisdiction over seven administrative villages. The township government, the Township People's Congress and the township party committee are stationed in guoma, an ancient village. S301 highway transit.

In 2017, the administrative area was 837131 hectares, with a permanent population of 2290.

Historical evolution

Wuma district was established in April 1964. In 1996, it had a population of 3000 and governed four townships, including four administrative villages in Muma township (Wuma township), three administrative villages in Jiacuo Township, three administrative villages in Xianqi Township and four administrative villages in sedang township. In 2001, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, and Wuma Township and Xianqi Township were established. Wuma Township governs 8 villages of gungu, zhagou, dare, bensong, genqiong, Buzi, samalong and zhadonari, and is stationed in gungu. In 2000, the permanent population of Wuma township was 1834 (Wupu).
