Peter Li, formerly known as Li Chengcheng, is the only son of his family. He lost his father at the age of nine. He has been living in a wooden house since he was a child. His education is only at primary school level. After that, he went to night school intermittently. Li was most influenced by his uncle, the second uncle of the famous Cantonese Opera actor Liang, who helped Li. Li was 10 years old and made a living selling newspapers in central with his mother. Peter Li's first Lyric work was published in his column, which was changed from Wang Mingquan's tears of lovesickness. When Li was a private driver, his boss's parking space was adjacent to Chen you's, so he got to know the Weiner band. After being introduced by a friend (Shaodong), he met Xu Guanjie, who happened to have dinner at the next table. Xu Zhili wrote a column and asked him to cooperate. After that, Xu Guanjie's popular songs were mostly composed by two people, from the album "half weight eight Liang" (1976) to the album "unforgettable you · paper boat" (1982), with a total of seven pieces. In the first six albums, Xu and Li cooperated. The last one is part of Xu Guanjie's Ci and part of Peter Li's Ci. The two worked together for seven years.
After Li and Xu broke up, Li faded out of the field of ci writing, followed by Wenna. His works include a wild goose in the sky (1981), goddess of love (1982), and then faded out again. It wasn't until Li Xiaotian asked him to write lyrics that he came back to write lyrics for Anita Mui and Leslie Cheung. The most famous ones are Mei's "splitting the iceberg" [1986] and Zhang's "Monica" (1984). Later, a lot of excellent lyricists appeared in the same period. The "idol school" also began to rise, and Li faded out again.
