Long term engaged in water supply and drainage engineering, environmental engineering research and teaching work. The main research achievements include "treatment of wastewater containing phenol", "treatment and utilization of wastewater containing cadmium", "purification and reuse of aquatic wastewater" and "design specification for wastewater containing phenol". Among them, "treatment of wastewater containing cadmium" won the National Science Conference award in 1978; "sodium hypochlorite electrolysis device" won the science and technology progress award of Heilongjiang Province in 1984; "advanced treatment of coking wastewater" won the Shanghai Municipal award in 1993 Science and technology progress award. The published papers include "treatment and utilization of metal surface processing wastewater", "research progress of electroplating wastewater containing cadmium", "treatment of wastewater from salty shrimp breeding pond by biofilm process", etc. Co authored with "phenol wastewater treatment and utilization", "practical wastewater treatment technology" and so on.
