He studied music since childhood and began to receive formal training of vocal music at the age of 16. In 1997, he studied in the Music Department of Hangzhou Normal University, majoring in vocal music and minor in piano. Vocal performance ranked first in the age group. In 2000, he was admitted to the Central Conservatory of music and continued to study.
