Chen Guobang

Male, born in 1941 in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, Professor, doctoral supervisor. Former director of Institute of refrigeration and low temperature, Zhejiang University, vice president of Zhejiang refrigeration society, director of China Refrigeration society, member of international ICC Committee, etc.

Character experience

He is the former director of Institute of refrigeration and Cryogenics of Zhejiang University. He is now the vice chairman of A1 Professional Committee of international refrigeration society, vice chairman of Zhejiang refrigeration society, director of China Refrigeration society, member of international ICC Committee, etc. He graduated from Zhejiang University in 1965, majoring in chemical engineering and machinery, and served as a teaching assistant of Chemical Engineering Department of Zhejiang University from 1965 to 1970. 1970-1980, scientific research, lecturer and laboratory director of the cryogenic Laboratory of Zhejiang University. 1980-1982 visiting scholar of University of Colorado and National Bureau of standards (NBS). 1983-1989 director and associate professor of the Department of low temperature teaching and research, Zhejiang University. He was promoted to a professor in 1990 and was employed as a doctoral supervisor in 1994. From 1992 to 2000, he was the director of Institute of refrigeration and low temperature, Zhejiang University. In 1990, he visited Tokyo Institute of technology as a visiting professor at the invitation of Japan Society for the promotion of academic studies. In 1993, he visited Korea Institute of mechanical research as a visiting professor to study pulse tube refrigerator. in 1995, he visited Japanese university to study multi-stage pulse tube refrigerator. at the invitation of DAAD, Germany, he visited Giessen University in 2000 to study pulse tube refrigeration with mixed refrigerants. in 1989, 1998 and 2003, he successfully held three international conferences on low temperature and refrigeration (ICCR) in Zhejiang University and served as the chairman of the organizing committee or the conference.
