Personal experience

In 1994, Arong was invited to become the second lead singer of the compass band. They are: Zhou Di, Guo Liang, Yue Haokun, Zheng Chaohui (mouse), Yuan Ding. In the same year, Liu Zhengrong recorded and filmed China's first rock LD "China rock", which included six songs of the second generation compass band with a Rong as the lead singer, namely "please walk on the sidewalk", "I don't have a distance", "do as you like", "come back", "Mr. Nanguo" and "destination". It also includes six songs by Cui Jian.

In 1997, the compass band signed a contract with Beijing Jingwen record company to release its second album, inescapable, with Liu Zhengrong as the lead singer. He arranged the lyrics of all the songs. The main songs "can't escape" and "Yao Mei" both set the record of ten weeks on the Beijing music charts at that time, and were rated as the coldest voice. The album "can't escape" is regarded as a classic by music lovers, and Liu Zhengrong's "can't escape" is also imitated.
