Li Yaming, a Taiwanese singer and musician, has released 10 personal albums in the past 15 years after his debut album "confrontation" in 1983. Li Yaming has made unremitting efforts to promote the spread of rock music in Taiwan, and is known as the "new godfather".

Personal resume

On July 26, 1983, PAIPU released Li Yaming's first solo album, confrontation. During their stay in PAIPU record company, Li Yaming and Xue Yue made unremitting efforts to promote the spread of rock music in Taiwan. The blue angel Choir and Xue Yue's affiliated magic eye choir performed frequently in the north, middle and south of the island, laying a solid foundation for Taiwan's mainstream / underground rock and roll in the late 1980s. In the past five years, Li Yaming has released four albums: transparent man, eagles, glamour and confrontation. In the album full of charm, the main works "love me in my heart", "tenderness lost" and "street" are all melodic works. The audience also remembered the name of Li Yaming as a "new" person because of this record. There is another work "station" in the record, which was covered by the Oriental Express chorus a few years later, and raised people's memory of Li Yaming .

As early as 1986, Li Yaming, Xue Yue and the magic eye chorus held two performances in live house "faraks" in Tokyo, which caused quite a stir in the local area. Li Yaming and Xue Yue are regarded as the hope of Mandarin rock. In 1987, the "Blue Angel Choir" led by Li Yaming held four "burning temptations" concerts in Taipei and Kaohsiung. Li Yaming's black clothes and sunglasses and the rock and roll charm of his works brought the music fans an extremely exciting experience.

At the same time, Li Yaming led the "Blue Angel chorus" to Beijing Capital Gymnasium in January 1989 to hold a personal performance. Li Yaming was the first Taiwanese singer to perform in the mainland, thus opening the prelude to the upsurge of Hong Kong and Taiwan singers' concerts in the mainland. At that time, although Li Yaming's performance was an unprecedented success, it did not attract more attention. After returning to Taiwan, the Taiwan authorities immediately imposed sanctions on him for various reasons, including banning all his performances for one year. In spite of this, Li Yaming continues to walk on his own music road. The publication of his sixth album, being, gives a resounding answer to those who have ulterior motives, just as the copy of the album says: "it's just a clear feeling - I'm here!"

In the same year, Li Yaming left PAIPU to Dawei, and released his fifth album cool the next year. "Cool" is produced by Qi Qin and Huang Dajun respectively. At that time, there were some rock elements in the music of Qi Qin, which had already opened up the situation with the album wolf, so Li Yaming's records still maintained the style he wanted to adhere to. In 1988, Li Yaming also took part in the shooting of the big play "three people chasing their wives" of Huashi 8:00. Niu Jiaxiu, played by Li Yaming, was widely recognized and loved. After that, Li Yaming set up his own record company in Dezhou, and together with Xue Yue, he released the album Love constellation I and II.

After the establishment of Dezhou records, Li Yaming not only made and released his own records, but also was busy helping new people to make a living in the recording industry. From the end of 1988 to the beginning of 1989, Li Yaming, Xue Yue and Wang Zongzheng (now renamed Wang Baisen) released the album Let the world know together. The three Libra men conquered every friend who heard their music with their own strength. Today, more than ten years later, when Wang Baisen, who is now the number one in Taiwan's guotuo theater, recalls the scene at that time, he still shows his gratitude to Li Yaming and Xue Yue.

In 1992, Li Yaming set up his own "wuerzu Entertainment Co., Ltd." he produced and released the album "I really want to talk to someone" and the Autobiography of the same name by EMI. "I really want to find someone to talk to" at that time very well expressed my feelings and feelings in the half year after being banned. Wu Xuwen, the original "Youth" chorus's lead singer, was also recruited to create most of the songs in the album. The work "growth" in the album can particularly reflect Li Yaming's state and situation at that time. In fact, frustration is not a kind of growth in life? This period had a great influence on Li Yaming's work and life. No matter which adjective is used to describe his youth, there are more or less some burdens: rebellious, which can be used to show off the difference at that time; not praised, which can also be used to prove his persistence at that time. All the frivolous, uninhibited subversion to a certain extent, will begin to precipitate in the no longer excited heart. Call it growth or experience, people are always in the desire for peace when they ask for their own compromise. After the death of his good friend Xue Yue in 1990, he stepped on the red carpet and became a proud father, so Li Yaming changed.

In 1993, Li Yaming released his best-selling album "relax" on Fumao records. From the main song "relax", we can deeply understand Li Yaming's joy as a father and the change of his attitude towards life. However, in "relax", fan Xiaoxuan's lovely performance left a deep impression. In 1994, Li Yaming released his last personal album infatuation in a very low profile. This album is not only excellent in melody and audibility, but also deeply reveals a mature man's thinking and understanding of life around him. In 1997, Li Yaming decided to step down from the front of the screen and concentrate on his "Wuer entertainment business". Fu Mao records immediately published the only double album selection in his personal music career --- forget the singing world forever day / night. The record contains a complete collection of his major masterpieces in the past 15 years. He also sang a memorable "relax" with fan Xiaoxuan and a cover of his "lost contact" with his good friend Xue Yue. At the end of the record, Li Yaming ended up with a "cheers to the past" with Jiang Yuheng's cooperation. His nostalgia for the singing career and his reluctance to love his fans are heartbreaking ……

Today, Li Yaming, known as the "godfather of the new generation", has many star apprentices working hard in the competitive record market. We can see that he presented the "Best Newcomer Award" at the 2010 Golden Melody Awards ceremony. His face has been full of vicissitudes of years. But we still miss the handsome Li Yaming who is wearing sunglasses, with a stubborn face and singing "when to learn something called cool" in the memory of youth.
