Adapted from Xiaocui in Strange Tales from a lonely studio, white fox is China's first real 3D magic love action movie directed by Niu Chaoyang and starred by Zhong Xintong, Zhang Zhilin, Hui Yinghong and Gao Hu.

The film is about the fox Xiaocui and mortal Wang Yuanfeng between a touching love legend. The film was released nationwide on September 28, 2013, with a total box office of 30.87 million yuan as of October 13.

Synopsis

In the world of immortals and demons, the biggest demon in the universe, the sea bat King (Gao Hu) is endangering the world, and the world is in a panic! The crazy girl Xiaocui (Zhong Xintong) of Fox Valley falls in love with the mortal fool Wang Yuanfeng (Zhang Zhilin), and Wang Yuanfeng's mysterious spirit is the ultimate killer of evil spirits! When the battle between good and evil and infatuation are inextricably intertwined, a touching legend of true love is staged surging.

Behind the scenes

The film is the first "real 3D" magic love action film in China.

The final song "not stupid, not stupid, not love" is composed by Director Niu Chaoyang himself; the MV is composed by Sha painter according to the theme of the film; the singer of the song is not real person, but by voice sampling and computer-generated singing.

This is the second time that Director Niu Chaoyang has cooperated with Zhong Xintong.

The special effects team of the film "wonder corps" is the first special effects team selected and established by the director himself in the mainland film industry up to 2013, and directly belongs to the director's personal work creation.

Zhang Zhilin said on his microblog that he had read the script twice and cried twice.

Before the film "white fox" started shooting, Niu Chaoyang held close consultation with 4D film equipment manufacturers and 4D cinema managers to implement 4D special effects as a film language in script creation for the first time according to 4D special effects function.

The protagonist Wang Yuanfeng is not a character in the original work.

White fox is adapted from Xiaocui in Liaozhaizhiyi. The story itself is a tragic love story. In the process of adaptation into a movie script, Director Niu Chaoyang deepened the tension of "infatuation for love" in the love parts of several characters, and refined the love theme of "not infatuated, not stupid, not love".

Production team

On November 1, 2012, Director Niu Chaoyang personally selected elites to form a special effects team called "wonder corps", and immediately put into the special effects design preparation work of "white fox". Before the release of "white fox", the wonder Corps focused on the special effects creation of "white fox".

In addition, "white fox" also invited Keith Coley of Hollywood to be the 3D visual effects director of the whole film, and devoted the whole process to the early technical debugging, mid-term live 3D shooting, and late 3D special effects fine tuning of "white fox".
