Wang Qinghe was born in Quanzhou, Fujian Province in 1919. He studied in Dongfeng Middle School and Jinling University in Nanjing. During the Anti Japanese War, he was an actor of Changhong drama club. He came to Hong Kong in 1947 and has worked as an actor and director of Xiamen language films for 14 years since then. He has participated in shooting about 200 Xiamen language films. He joined Shaw company in 1963 and worked as an actor of Shaw company for 21 years. Later, he joined silver Phoenix Film Co., Ltd. and ATV to participate in the performance.
