However, the peel of wampee has the effects of eliminating wind swelling, removing malnutrition, generating fluid and relieving thirst, and relieving cough. It is said that the more bitter the wampee tastes, the better the effect. In Chaoshan, people like to make yellow peel into preserves. Even belt meat can be eaten as snacks directly or soaked in water as a drink. Drinking yellow water in summer can also prevent heatstroke. "
Production steps:
Step 1: choose fresh and ripe wampee.
Step 2: take off the yellow peel and remove the branches and leaves.
Step 3: gently rub the yellow skin with salt.
Step 4: wash the wampee with clean water and drain the water.
Step 5: steam the wampee in a steamer for about 15 minutes.
Step 6: steam until the yellow peel is cracked, and remove the stone.
Step 7: pour the yellow peel into the pot and add rock sugar.
Step 8: cook over medium heat until the sugar melts.
Step 9: turn the heat down and cook slowly. Stir in the middle to avoid burning
Step 10: cook for about two hours until the soup is thick and yellow.
Step 11: turn off the engine and cool it a little, then put it in a can and seal it.
Step 12: it can be eaten directly or soaked in water.

Salt: 10g
Rock sugar: 750g
Note: the preserved wampee can be preserved for more than one year. If you are too lazy to go, you will spit out a lot of kernels when steaming and boiling. I will pick out and remove these kernels, and ignore the others.
