JIAYE village is located in the southeast of Jiabang Township, 18 km away from the township government and 93 km away from the county. The village has an area of 12.98 square kilometers, with an average altitude of 770 meters. The village has four villager groups, three natural villages, 132 households and 519 people, including 519 ethnic minorities, accounting for 100% of the total population of the village.

On June 6, 2019, JIAYE village, Jiabang Township, Congjiang County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, was listed in the fifth batch of Chinese traditional villages list.

Population nationality

The total labor force of the village is 343, but the cultural quality is low. The number of illiterate and semi illiterate is 150, accounting for 29.3% of the total population of the village.

The total area of cultivated land in the village is 501.1 mu, including 427.2 mu. The per capita cultivated land area is 0.98 mu.

Economics

According to the statistics in 2006, the per capita net income of farmers is 1180 yuan, and the per capita grain is 415kg. There are 38 people who have difficulty in drinking water. The villagers still use the traditional backward farming method and the grain based management mode, and the economic and social development is relatively slow.

In 2019, we will carry out the transformation project of 20 home stay. The subsidy fund for each household is 20000 yuan to drive the masses to actively participate in and promote the development of JIAYE tourism. The government will build terraced fields and other villages as a whole to develop together and increase farmers' income.

JIAYE village is one of the traditional villages in Congjiang County, Qiandongnan Prefecture. It is also one of the core villages of Moon Mountain National Wetland Park and the core scenic spots of Jiabang terraces.
