Kunlun Hall Art Museum

Kunluntang art museum is built by the people's Government of Kunshan City, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, to collect and display the paintings and calligraphy works donated by Mr. Zhu Fuyuan, an overseas Chinese living in Japan. The art museum is located on the third floor of the science, technology and culture exhibition center of the city square, with a construction area of 1100 square meters. It has exhibition hall, VIP Hall, office, etc. the architectural decoration style combines classical and modern, and is equipped with modern management and exhibition facilities.

Mr. Zhu Fuyuan is a famous collector living in Japan. In the early 1950s, when he went to Fusang, he traveled to Hong Kong, China and other countries in South Asia for business relations. He collected a large number of ancient Chinese painting and calligraphy works scattered abroad, including many excellent works. Since the Tang, song, yuan, Ming, Qing and even modern masters of painting and calligraphy works, as many as hundreds of grand view. Because of his native place in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, and his reference to painting and calligraphy collection in song and Yuan Dynasties, he called his studio "Kunlun hall". Zhao Puchu, Liu Haisu, qigong, Xu Bangda, Xie zhiliu, Yang Renkai and Ya Ming, famous calligraphers and painters, appraisers, visited Japan or communicated with China. Besides enjoying the paintings collected in Kunlun hall, they often wrote praises and articles. In the autumn of 1998, when he was 80 years old, he decided to donate more than 300 pieces of ancient paintings and calligraphy to his hometown Kunshan for the benefit of Sangzi.

On November 12, 2001, kunluntang Art Museum opened, displaying more than 80 pieces of paintings and calligraphy by famous artists of all ages. In 2003, the museum was named Jiangsu patriotism education base.
