In the middle of the 19th century, Jin opera was introduced from Shanxi to Jingxing County, Hebei Province. After decades of integration, it formed a unique style. Jingxing Jin opera now has more than 300 repertoires, more than 500 kinds of tunes, and 16 classic repertoires such as huoshao Qinggong Lou and Huanggu monk.

Compared with traditional Jin opera, Jingxing Jin opera has the following characteristics: in singing, it has the softness of Shanxi Bangzi, the high pitched of Hebei Bangzi, and the hardness and softness of Jingxing accent; in speaking, it is based on the Daobai of Jin opera, with clear words and strong sound; in repertoire, it is different from Shanxi Jin opera in singing, supplemented by martial arts, but it has both civil and martial arts, equal in autumn; the vast majority of actors They are all native to Jingxing; 80% of the scripts are self created and adapted; each troupe has its own pedigree, such as walnut garden pedigree, nanzhangcheng pedigree, Changping pedigree, Jingxing Jin opera company pedigree, etc.

Jingxing Jinju Opera Troupe, established in 1952, once flourished. However, in recent years, the performance market has shrunk seriously, the income of actors is low, and there is no successor for Jingxing Jinju opera. Therefore, the protection of Jingxing Jinju opera is imminent.
