Introduction to drum (tuwo old flower drum)

Tuwo old flower drum is a traditional dance popular in tuwo village, Qinshui County, with a history of more than 200 years.

Tuwo laohuagu is a dance performance form that integrates drumming, singing and dancing. Its main roles include clown, clown, flower girl, old man, wife, waist drummer, horse boy and drum.

The most important role of tuwo laohuagu is "Chou", which has a unique style of Dancing: when dancing, you bite the mouth holding ring fixed on the drum, hit it up and down with soft drumsticks in both hands, and walk with "Dan He Tan bu", your feet moving forward like cranes; when singing, you hold the drum in your hands, and then you hold the drum in your mouth after singing.

Tuwo old flower drum formation is rich, including double dragon water, three lights, twelve hook, double dragon tail, double flower arrangement, nine bend, lotus turn, single Mugu, jujube shape, double split, etc. Dance footwork is mainly a "cursive step" with the whole foot rubbing the ground. When dancing, the body twists from side to side, like willows in the wind, gentle and beautiful.

There are two kinds of music score of tuwo laohuagu, one is dance score (zouchang gongs and drums), which is divided into zouchang score and debut score; the other is tune score (Huagu tune), which is divided into "old tune" and "new tune", and the lyrics are improvised by artists.
