Brief introduction of Xiansuo music (Heze Xiansuo Music)
Applicant: Heze City, Shandong Province
Heze string music is an ensemble composed of several plucked instruments and string instruments. It is known as "elegant music" because of its elegant style, and "ancient music" because of its long history. It is mainly distributed in the villages of Yuncheng and juancheng counties in Heze City, Shandong Province.
Heze Xiansuo music is usually performed by Zheng, Yangqin, pipa, huqin (also known as "Ruyi Gou", a bow string instrument engraved with ancient court "yuruyi" on the head of the Qin pole) and other stringed instruments. Sometimes only Zheng and Yangqin are combined, or Zheng and Yangqin and Pipa are combined, or soft Gonghu and Chuihu are added. The combination of instruments is flexible and various, and the playing instruments can be used Increase can decrease.
Heze Xiansuo music has ten sets of ancient music, each of which is in the form of "eight board style", commonly known as "touch eight board". It is also called "68 bans" because each of its eight sentences has eight bans and the whole piece has four bans. Folk artists say that the sixty-eight board was made by the ancestors according to the sixty-four hexagrams in the book of changes, plus the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. The musical instruments used in "touch eight boards" form different parts. The melody of these parts is derived from the mother song "eight boards", so they can be "touched" together to form a unified and harmonious whole. The melody is elegant and soft, and the harmony texture is rich and beautiful. It has both antique style and distinctive local color. It has high academic research value, artistic value and appreciation value.
In the folk, string music is a way for artists to amuse themselves. It is often played in temples, family courtyards and other places during temple fairs, festivals or winter holidays. Most of them play two or three kinds of instruments, and once they are short of hands, they can play other instruments. Representatives over the years include Ma Yiwen, Wang leyong, Li bangrong, Zhang nianzhong, Shi Dengyan, Zhang Weitai, Zhang Yingyi, Zhang Liangzhi, Zhang xiaolun, Zhang Xinshan, etc.
In recent years, due to the gradual disappearance of some traditional cultural space, some accomplished folk artists are old or have died one after another. There are not many people who can play ancient music and fully master the traditional playing techniques, which are in urgent need of protection and inheritance.
