Introduction to jizhongsheng wind music (nanxiangkou fanbei concert)
Applicant: anci District, Langfang City, Hebei Province
Jizhong Sheng wind music is popular in nearly 30 counties and cities south of Beijing, west of Tianjin and north of Cangzhou and Dingzhou. It is a unique type of percussion music in Jizhong plain. It is commonly known as "concert" among the people. It is also known as "Sheng wind music" because it is mainly played by Guan and Sheng. In addition to Sheng, pipe, flute and other wind instruments, Jizhong Sheng wind instruments also use cloud Gong, drum, cymbal, cymbal, Dangdang and other percussion instruments. The music of Sheng Guan music is divided into three categories: Suite, ditty and independent percussion music. The suite is a major part of the whole playing repertoire because of its long length and complex structure. Jizhong Sheng wind music is spread all over the whole Jizhong plain. Farmers in this area take the village as a unit to perform in local folk activities such as sacrifice and funeral, and inherit it from generation to generation in their own unique way.
Nanxiangkou fanbei Buddhist music, which is popular in Luolong Town, anci District, Langfang City, Hebei Province, has a history of more than 500 years and has been handed down for 24 generations. When the local temple was demolished in 1950, fanbei music had spread to the "Sha" generation.
The band of nanxiangkou fanbei concert has a fixed establishment. There are 10 musicians in a full class with five blows, four dozen and a round hat. Only five blows or four dozen are half class. The five percussion instruments are composed of two Sheng players, one flute player, one pipe player and one cloud Gong player. Yunluo is a percussion instrument rather than a wind instrument, so there are only four in five. Four dozen are martial music, including one cymbal musician, one cymbal musician, one songwriter (small cymbal) musician and one drummer. In addition to five blows and four dozen, there is also a round hat, which is only played in the class when chanting scriptures, chanting spirits and worshiping Buddhas. The performance of fanbei concert generally adopts four kinds of Gong Diao: Zheng Diao, Bei Diao, Jiezhi Diao and Xiaogong Diao, in addition to one kind of out of tune. The phenomenon of borrowing words often appears in recitation, which is an important feature of nanxiangkou fanbei concert. Nanxiangkou concert is mainly performed in Temple chanting, scattered lamp pit, meeting, temple fair performance and folk funerals. Funerals from the shed is its main form of activity, and its performance form can be divided into street walking and sitting blowing due to different venues and occasions. The representative music of nanxiangkou fanbei concert includes Liu Hanyan, Chutan Ji, yufurong, etc.
After hundreds of years of inheritance, nanxiangkou fanbei concert always retains many characteristics of traditional music, which is a valuable material for the study of folklore and ethnomusicology. At present, under the impact of foreign culture and market economy, the development and inheritance of this ancient folk music has been difficult, which is in urgent need of rescue and protection.
