The year of Dong is a traditional festival for Dong people to thank their ancestors for their blessing. It is also a festival for Dong People's family reunion and harvest celebration. At the same time, it is also a festival for Dong People's cultural display. It is mainly distributed in such Dong areas as Leli 72 village and zhaihao 48 village in the northwest of Rongjiang.

As a traditional national festival of the Dong family, the year of Dong is basically held in turn according to the traditional regulations in the villages where the Dong family live, which has a wide range of mass and folk heritage. The most important ceremony of the year of Dong is "Dousha" (the song of ancestor worship).
