Brief introduction of Xinjiang Uygur maixirefu (Xinjiang Uygur Daolang maixirefu)
Applicant: Awati County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region
Maixirefu is a special form of folk entertainment of Xinjiang Uygur, and also an ancient folk cultural activity, with a long history and continuous inheritance. The word "maixire Fu" comes from Arabic and means "gathering". Maixire Fu mainly engaged in dance and entertainment activities, with a large number of participants entertaining themselves. According to the performance form, maixire Fu can be divided into singing and dancing maixire Fu, game maixire Fu and rap maixire Fu, and also can be divided into living room maixire Fu, welcome maixire Fu and harvest maixire Fu according to the performance content. All parts of Xinjiang have their own maixirefu, with similar forms and different names, such as "Daolang", "kuoke" and "Tahe".
Daolang maixirefu is popular in Awati County of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Awati county is located in the central and western part of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the northwest edge of Tarim Basin, and the lower reaches of Yeerqiang River, bordering Aksu in the northeast, and deep into the Taklimakan Desert in the south. Aksu River, Yeerqiang River and Hotan River meet here, with a total population of about 219600. It is composed of 15 ethnic groups, including Uygur, Han, Hui and Kazak. It is a typical area inhabited by ethnic minorities.
Maixirep belongs to the art form of song and dance. It doesn't need special stage and costumes, but it has to be held by qiigetibesi, mirewazi, nagmi Casey (musician), dancers and comedians.
With the change of society, people's spontaneous singing activities of Daolang maixirep are less and less, the number of participants is also decreasing, and the scope of activities is shrinking. Under this situation, Xinjiang Uygur Daolang maixirep is facing the danger of extinction, and it is urgent to rescue and protect.
