Xiling Seal printing society was founded in the thirtieth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty. It is a folk association mainly engaged in the creation and research of seal cutting of gold and stone, as well as the creation of calligraphy and painting. Located at the West foot of Gushan Mountain in the West Lake Scenic Area of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, the community site includes many ancient architectural sites of Ming and Qing Dynasties. The garden is elegant, the scenery is quiet, the human landscape is gathered, and cliff inscriptions can be seen everywhere, which is known as "the most beautiful lake mountain".

Xiling Seal society was founded by Ding Renyou, Wang Fuchang, ye Zhou, Wu Yin and others. In 1913, Wu Changshuo, a master of modern art, was promoted to be the first president of the society. The Indian people came back to the wind, and the famous Japanese artists came across the sea. The members of the society are all good at seal cutting, calligraphy and painting, appreciation, archaeology, literature and history, and the reputation of the society is growing. In spring and autumn every year, Tongren gathered together and formed a unique mode of sacrifice and activities.

Adhering to the tenet of "preserving gold and stone, studying seal studies, and calligraphy and painting", Xiling Seal Engravers society has made brilliant achievements in artistic creation, academic research, cultural relics and archaeology, publishing and communication. It has become the oldest, most successful and most influential academic group in the history of gold and stone seal cutting at home and abroad, and has won the reputation of "the first society in the world".
