Dadong Street

Dadong street, belonging to Chuanying District, Jilin City, Jilin Province, is located in the urban area of Chuanying District, bordering Changyi district with Nanjing Street in the East, Songjiang Road in the south, Hunchun street and Qingdao street in the west, Jiefang Road and Xiangyang Street in the north, with an area of 0.57 square kilometers.

In 1673, Dadong Street belonged to Jilin City, named Dadongmen. In March 1979, Dadong street was changed from Dadong Street reform committee to Dadong street. At the end of 2011, Dadong street had a total population of 25545. As of June 2020, Dadong street has three communities under its jurisdiction, and its sub district office is located at 64 Beijing road.

In 2011, the total industrial output value of Dadong street was 260 million yuan, an increase of 0.4% over 2010; there were 1430 commercial outlets and 3579 employees.

History of construction

Qing Kangxi 12 years (1673), Jilin City, known as Dadongmen. In 1824, it was renamed Baiqi duizi.

In 1913, baiqiduizi was changed into the provincial police department. In 1929, the police department of Jilin Province was changed into the provincial capital. In 1931, it belonged to Tongtian District, with the establishment of Weixin Town, liangmihang town and Henan Street town. In March 1948, it belonged to Minsheng and Weixin street; in August of the same year, it belonged to Xinguang street, Weixin street, liangmihang Street (former Minsheng Street) and Henan Street in Tongtian district. In August 1949, it belonged to Dadongmen police station, Minsheng Road police station and Henan Street police station.

In November 1950, Dadong Street office was set up.

In January 1954, Dadong Street office was changed into Dadong street community.

In January 1955, dadongjie community was transformed into Dadongmen street.

In 1959, it was assigned to Changyi district; in November of the same year, it was changed to Dadongmen district.

In August 1960, Dadongmen management area was changed into Dadongmen branch.

In October 1962, Dadongmen branch changed to Dadong street.

In January 1964, it was assigned to Chuanying district; in August of the same year, Minsheng Road street was merged into Dadongmen street.

In January 1970, Dadongmen street was divided into Dadong street and Xiangyang Street.

In March 1979, Dadong Street reform committee was changed into Dadong street.
