Lunzhou Island

Lunzhou island is located in Zhouxin Town, Qingcheng District, Qingyuan City, about 5km away from the central urban area. It is located in the water area outside the Feilai Gorge of Beijiang River. It is an alluvial island formed by inland rivers surrounded by water. The island covers an area of about 2 square kilometers (about 3000 mu), including more than 700 mu of sand beach and more than 500 mu of forest. The island is covered with green trees, and the shoals outside the island are clear. The environment is quiet, the scenery is beautiful and the scenery is pleasant.

Permanent population

Lunzhou island has a permanent population of about 1800 people. There is a Lunzhou Village Committee on the island, which is divided into five natural villages: Lunzhou, Xuedi, Qinwu, Jiuliu and Xinliu. There are 960 mu of arable land on the island, and there is no paddy field. The plants are mainly planted with peanut, sweet potato, corn and other economic crops; the green area is more than 500 mu, and most of them are non economic forests. There is no factory or mining enterprise on the island, and there is a wharf and a ferry. The wharf was built by the Qingcheng district government with an investment of more than 1 million yuan. The distance between the North Bank of the island and the South Bank of the land is about 360 meters. In the past, the residents of the island used to cross the river by ferry through the wharf.

It is close to Qingyuan high speed railway station, about 5km away from the urban area, and 60km away from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, within an hour's drive.
