Introduction to the shalibor style wrestling:

Applicant: Alxa Left Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

Shaliboer wrestling is a traditional national sport created and preserved by the weilat Mongolian people. It is one of the main sports events in the wurisnadam grand meeting and an excellent traditional cultural practice of the Mongolian people. Shalibor wrestling is very popular in Sumu town of Alxa League and some Mongolian areas of Xinjiang, Qinghai and Gansu.

According to the "chaolibur" system handed down from generation to generation, the unearthed cultural relic patterns of the Xiongnu period and the records of the biography of heroes of jianger, it is proved that shalibor wrestling has a history of more than 2000 years. The word "shalibor" means pants. Shalibor style wrestling has something in common with Mongolian wrestling, Japanese sumo wrestling, freestyle wrestling and so on, but also has its unique place. The movements of chopping shovel, folding knee and grabbing collar in the skill of shaliboer wrestling are named after imitating the characteristics of male camel fighting each other.

Shaliboer wrestling has the following characteristics: 1. Shaliboer wrestling is one of the most primitive forms of wrestling, and is the only wrestling target on the beach in the world; 2. Shaliboer wrestling shows a harmonious and peaceful side, because it is not like other wrestling grabbing, it can start after both sides grasp the fixed grip, so it has a strong ornamental, no harm to the body The material of dress is soft; 3. Shaliboer style wrestling has unique characteristics from appearance ceremony, athlete dress, title symbol and referee dress, including more cultural charm.

Shalibor style wrestling has been handed down for thousands of years, and its origin, rules, rituals, techniques, clothing, punishment and other contents have been handed down from generation to generation. With the change of entertainment mode, the cultural connotation of this heritage is gradually ignored, especially in the young people, which makes it difficult to maintain these folk cultural and sports projects. In addition, some folk artists have no successors, so the project is on the verge of being lost.
