Qiguaquan originated in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, and became popular in the middle of Ming Dynasty. During the period of the Republic of China, Ma yingtu and Guo Changsheng systematically sorted out the original cleavage boxing. Split hanging boxing is fast, powerful, severe and unpredictable. It pays attention to attack and defense and practical. Each routine of qigua boxing has its own characteristics. The main routines include qigua boxing fast set, slow set, Qinglong boxing, Gua boxing, gun hammer, flying tiger boxing, qigua rolling thunder palm, etc. the instruments include Miao Dao, mad devil stick, qigun, Qingping sword, Xinggou, double headed snake, halberd, etc. Cangzhou qigua boxing combines the advantages of Tongbang boxing and Baji boxing, and introduces excellent boxing instruments such as Miao Dao. It carries the traditional philosophical elements of Chinese culture, such as Yin and Yang, heaven and earth, square, hardness and softness, internal and external, and has rich cultural connotations. Although pugua boxing is supported and inherited by Wushu Association, there is still a lack of successors, so it is urgent to strengthen the protection.
