Shaoxing opera, also known as "Shaoxing Luantan", is popular in the north of Shaoxing and its neighboring provinces. This kind of drama has a wide range of roles, such as Sheng, Dan, Jing and Chou. Most of them wear robes and perform stories about the battle of emperors and generals. In terms of troupe organization and performance scenes, it is larger than the "Yingge Troupe" in Shaoxing area in Daoguang and Xianfeng years, which once a clown moved the "tease" part, because it is known as Shaoxing big troupe. The actors in all walks of life are very skillful. They gather together in the troupe, just like a group of jade. Therefore, Shaoxing troupe is often called "Yucheng".
