Xiamen bank is the abbreviation of Xiamen Bank Co., Ltd. its predecessor is Xiamen commercial bank, which was established in November 1996. On September 21, 2009, China Banking Regulatory Commission issued the reply on the renaming of Xiamen commercial bank, officially approved the renaming of Xiamen commercial bank as "Xiamen Bank Co., Ltd." and launched a brand new logo composed of Sifang blue ocean and a golden triangle plum.

Xiamen bank, established on November 30, 1996, is a joint-stock commercial bank with independent legal personality approved by the people's Bank of China. The head office is located at No. 101, Hubin North Road, Xiamen city.
