hinduism
Hinduism (Hindi: हनथदतधरम; English: Hinduism) emerged with the formation of feudal society and the new changes of caste system in India.
Hinduism is not an ideological system founded by a certain religious leader, but formed in the process of long-term social development. It is a comprehensive product of widely absorbing Brahmanic doctrines, folk beliefs, customs and philosophical thoughts. It also refers to the religion in the Indian cultural circle, which is one of the major religions in the world.
Hinduism is the national religion of India. There are many followers in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal in South Asia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines in Southeast Asia, as well as the Indian people in Britain, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. It has 1.05 billion followers (Statistics in 1993), second only to Christianity with 1.5 billion followers and Islam with 1.1 billion followers, and larger than Buddhism with 300 million followers.
The so-called "Hinduism" is a comprehensive appellation of religion, philosophy, culture and social customs in the Indian cultural circle. Its beliefs, philosophy and ethical views are complex, diverse and even contradictory. India's social classes, groups and different cultural classes have different beliefs and practices, but different from other religions, Hinduism has three major characteristics: "worship of the three gods, direct promotion of hereditary hierarchy, and firm belief in reincarnation". It takes the caste system as the core doctrine and requires believers to strictly abide by the caste system. Caste system is the most typical and strict hierarchical system. The four levels are strictly regulated in terms of status, rights, occupation and obligations.
