Cuipingshan street is located in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, with an area of 10.5 square kilometers and a population of 10485 (2010). It has jurisdiction over three neighborhood committees: Tushan temple, qiaojiahu and Changshan. The office is located in the former Changshan cement plant. It was established in 2000.

Cuipingshan sub district office was established in April 2000. It is an agriculture related office established after the adjustment of district division, with a total area of 8 square kilometers. The office now has 27 staff. The office has eight departments: Party and government office, social security comprehensive management office, economic department, social affairs department, urban management department, financial department, labor insurance office and judicial office. The office is located in the east of the city, connecting the central area of the old city in the West and the new city in the south. It is the hub area connecting the new and old city in Xuzhou and the key area for the planning and development of the east area in the next 20 years. At the beginning of the office, due to natural conditions and historical reasons, the economic foundation was relatively weak. Since 2005, No.1 Road, Guozhuang road and Heping Road have been opened one after another, which has brought rare opportunities for the development of the office. There are more than 20 industrial enterprises in the area. There is a large agricultural market and 5 private kindergartens. Xuzhou No.30 middle school, tushansi primary school, military training base, Pengcheng prison, Dahu railway station and other units are located in the office area.

On April 2, 2000, Xuzhou Municipal People's Government approved the abolition of Shizishan Township, Yunlong District, and the establishment of cuipingshan sub district office by the three village committees of qiaojiahu village, Changshan village and tushansi village under the original jurisdiction of Shizishan township.

The work of the people's Congress

In order to effectively carry out the work of the grassroots people's Congress, according to the needs of the work of the street people's Congress, three representative studios of the community people's Congress are established. By holding regular meetings with voters, setting up a "contact mailbox for deputies to the National People's Congress", setting up a special telephone service line, and issuing people's cards, the studio strengthens the contact and communication between deputies to the National People's Congress and the residents in the jurisdiction, and provides a convenient platform for deputies to perform their duties. The Friday of the last week of each month is designated as the reception day for deputies. Deputies to the people's Congress of the jurisdiction receive voters' visits in person, collect opinions and suggestions, and timely reflect the hot and difficult issues reflected by the masses to relevant departments through deputies' suggestions. In addition, each community workstation employs enthusiastic residents with rich working experience and strong sense of responsibility as community liaison officers, who are responsible for collecting voters' opinions and suggestions, and passing them to the representatives on duty, thus building a bridge between the representatives and the voters.
