In 2000, Pipa street was set up to govern Pipa and Wanzhai villages in Zhuzhuang township; Bali street was set up to govern Bali neighborhood committee in Beihuan street and Yinzhuang village in Zhuzhuang township. In March 2004, Pipa street, Bali street and Beihuan street were merged into Pipa street. After the zoning adjustment, Pipa Street governs six communities: Pipa, Wanzhai, Liwo, Taizi, Yinzhuang and Bali. It covers an area of 17.7 square kilometers and has a population of about 18100. At the end of 2008, it covers an area of 17.7 square kilometers and has a population of 19959. It governs seven communities, namely pipa, Wanzhai, Liwo, Taizi, Yinzhuang, Bali and Binhe. The office is located in Yinzhuang road. In 2000, the former Beihuan Street assigned the Tibei neighborhood committee to Huancheng street, the Machang neighborhood committee to pailou street, the Zhuzhuang neighborhood committee to Wangchang street, and the Bali neighborhood committee to the newly established Bali street. Beihuan street is under the jurisdiction of two administrative villages, Liwo and Taizi, in the former Zhuzhuang township. The former Zhuzhuang township is located in the north of Gulou District, 5 kilometers away from the city center. Longhai, Beijing Shanghai railway, Xupei, Xuwang, Xulian highway and Beijing Hangzhou canal transit. During the battle between Chu and Han, Han Xin laid an ambush on all sides, and the main battlefield of defeating Chu army was Jiulishan. There is a Castle Peak Park on the east end of Jiuli mountain. It originally belonged to the Second District, Zifang district and Huancheng district. In 1958, it belonged to mengjiagou Township, a suburb, and later to Huancheng commune. In 1967, it was divided into four communes: Zhuzhuang, Bali, Liwo and Wanzhai. In 1965, it was merged into Zhuzhuang commune. In 1983, it was built in Zhuzhuang Township, a suburb, and in 1993 it was assigned to Gulou District. In 1996, it covers an area of 25 square kilometers and has a population of 15000. It governs 9 administrative villages, including Tibei, Zhuzhuang, Bali, Yinzhuang, pipa, wansai, Taizi, Liwo and Machang. In 2000, Zhuzhuang township was abolished and Pipa and Wanzhai administrative villages were assigned to the newly established Pipa street; Yinzhuang administrative village was assigned to the newly established Bali street; and Liwo and Taizi administrative villages were assigned to Beihuan street.
