On April 28, 2012, the comprehensive bonded zone of Wuxi high tech Zone was officially approved by the State Council. It is the fourth highest level open area in Jiangsu Province after Suzhou Industrial Park, Kunshan and Suzhou high tech Zone, and also the 20th Comprehensive Bonded Zone in China. It aims to build advanced manufacturing and producer service bases such as semiconductors, relying on Wuxi airport and canal port to form the Yangtze River Delta inland Port core area. Wuxi high tech Zone comprehensive bonded zone planning area of 3.497 square kilometers. In accordance with the principle of "unified planning, phased development and rolling development", the development and construction of infrastructure and regulatory facilities within 2.385 square kilometers of the comprehensive protection zone (phase I) has been completed, and passed the formal acceptance of the General Administration of customs and other ten national ministries and commissions on January 31, 2013.

Brief introduction of the park

The comprehensive bonded zone of Wuxi hi tech Zone is transformed from the former Wuxi export processing zone, with a planning area of 3.497 square kilometers. In the past decade, thanks to the traditional advantages of local microelectronics, precision machinery and other high-end manufacturing industries as well as a large number of multinational enterprises' investment in factories, Wuxi export processing zone has ranked first in China in terms of total investment, investment density per unit area and other single indicators for many years. In 2011, Wuxi Export Processing Zone Customs import and export supervision volume reached 14.7 billion US dollars, the total output value of large-scale industry was 24.9 billion yuan, the total tax revenue was 770 million, and its comprehensive strength ranked the forefront of the country. at present, Wuxi export processing zone has formed four industrial clusters with high-tech manufacturing and modern service industry as the core, including: large scale integrated circuit industrial cluster represented by Hynix and Haitai semiconductor; high-end electronic industrial cluster represented by Seagate and Jiepu; precision machinery industrial cluster represented by Libo optoelectronics and Weimi; Sinotrans and jiadacang Modern service industry cluster represented by Chu. As a special customs supervision area with nine approved functions, such as advanced manufacturing, bonded logistics, R & D and testing, the comprehensive bonded zone of Wuxi hi tech Zone will undoubtedly bring great impetus to the construction of Wuxi high-end industry cluster, regional logistics center city and import and export city.

Planning layout

On May 24, the construction of Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Wuxi high tech Zone was officially launched. It is understood that the comprehensive bonded zone of Wuxi hi tech Zone has a planned area of 3.497 square kilometers, which is divided into two zones A and B. It has four functional blocks, namely Bonded Logistics Development Zone, advanced manufacturing development zone, supporting project development zone and port operation zone. It focuses on the development of advanced manufacturing represented by semiconductor integrated circuits, high-end electronics and precision machinery, and modern logistics represented by bonded logistics At the same time, it will realize linkage with Wuxi airport and canal port to form the core area of inland port in southern Jiangsu and even Yangtze River Delta.
