Longtan prison

Longtan prison in Jiangsu Province was built in 1952, covering an area of 2.44 square kilometers. It is located at No.8 zhuzishan, Longtan street, Qixia District, Nanjing City, close to national highway 312 and Baohuashan scenic spot. It is a large medium level security prison. Under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Longtan Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Longrui Clothing Co., Ltd. and electronic components factory three enterprises.

Under the correct leadership of the Provincial Department of justice and the provincial prison administration, the prison police and staff vigorously carry forward the prison spirit of "seeking truth step by step, striving to be the first", and strive to achieve the healthy and coordinated development of the overall work. In 1999, the prison was named as "civilized demonstration prison" and "provincial modern civilized prison" by the provincial prison administration and the Provincial Department of justice. In 2001, the prison was named as modern civilized prison by the Ministry of justice. In 2003, the prison administration was named as "promoting the overall quality construction strategy, creating the most advanced prison" In 2005, it was rated as the advanced unit of commutation, parole and medical parole in the national prison system by the Ministry of justice. Since 1992, it has been rated as the "civilized unit of Jiangsu Province" for 14 consecutive years.
