Tianlin Street
Tianlin street was established in April 1985 and basically completed in the mid-1990s. It covers an area of 4.19 square kilometers, with 22 neighborhood committees and 97171 residents (2010). This street is located in the Midwest of Xuhui District, starting from Caoxi road in the East, Zhanghong road and Guilin road in the west, Caobao road in the South and Guyang road in the north; it is adjacent to Xujiahui business circle, Caohejing Development Zone, Xujiahui street, Caohejing street and Hongmei Road. With convenient transportation and superior geographical location, rail transit lines 3, 4, 9 and 12 are respectively located in this street. A number of bus lines form a traffic network extending in all directions. The area is a mature urban community with convenient transportation, prosperous business, clean environment and complete infrastructure.

Street construction
Tianlin area used to be a piece of farmland, with 9 villages, most of which are simple and low cottages. Most of the roads in the territory are rural mud roads. In the early 1980s, Tianlin district was listed as one of 12 new residential districts in Shanghai. The first phase of the project (West of Liuzhou Road) was built in 1981, and the second phase (east of Liuzhou Road) was built in 1983. There are also Tianlin Xinyuan "intensive" high-rise and multi-storey residential areas. It includes 207000 square meters of "ladder type", 9 buildings with 10-18 floors; 85000 square meters of "dot type", 5 buildings with 28 floors; 150000 square meters of "R" type, 5 buildings with 21 floors. Public building facilities have also been built along with it, and more than 130 complete commercial networks have been formed, such as commercial buildings and hotels. Street honor
Tianlin street was awarded the title of advanced collective of environmental sanitation in 1989. From 1987 to 1990, it was rated as the advanced unit of urban greening for four consecutive years. From 1989 to 1990, he was awarded the title of advanced collective of municipal family planning for two consecutive years. In 1990, he was awarded the title of advanced collective of supporting the army. in may 2020, he won the honorary title of "civilized community of Shanghai in 2018-2019".
Historical evolution
In September 1983, part of Longhua Township, Hongqiao Township and Caohejing town of Shanghai county formed the Tianlin new village office, which was under the jurisdiction of Caohejing Town People's government. In September 1984, Caohejing town was still attached to Caohejing town after it was assigned to Xuhui District. In 1985, the areas to the west of Caoxi Road, to the east of shangaotang and to the north of Caobao road under the jurisdiction of Caohejing town were designated, and the Tianlin sub district office of Xuhui District People's government was officially established. In February 1986, Caohejing Microelectronics Industrial Zone and the area of 1.33 square kilometers north of Caobao Road, east of Hongmei Road and south of Puhuitang in former Shanghai county were divided into streets. In December 1990, the area to the west of Guilin road was demarcated and another Hongmei Road sub district office was built. There are Shanghai Automation Instrument Factory, Shanghai jade carving factory, Shanghai fox Polo Co., Ltd., Shanghai TV factory and other industrial enterprises. There were no kindergartens, middle schools and hospitals in Tianlin area. By 1990, there were one Shanghai Metallurgy College, one Shanghai Lixin College of accounting and finance, one Shanghai Experimental School, three middle schools, six primary schools, 11 kindergartens and nurseries, and one district hospital. Shanghai martyrs cemetery, located on the west side of Caoxi North Road, is one of the revolutionary memorial sites in the city. The street economy has five systems, 58 enterprises and institutions under it, with a total output value of 23.0892 million yuan and a profit of 1.6671 million yuan in 1990.
