Laohugang town is under the jurisdiction of Anda City, Heilongjiang Province. Laohugang town is located in the northeast of Anda City, adjacent to Xincun Township and Zhonghe town of Qinggang County in the northeast, jixinggang town in the south, Renmin town in the southwest and dapingzhuang town in the northwest. The people's government is stationed in maopu village of Sunjia. The administrative area of Laohugang town is 312.86 square kilometers. In late 2018, the registered residence of tiger Gang town was 25906.

Qing Dynasty belongs to Heilongjiang general Yamen. Guangxu 34 years (1908), is andating South Township. In 1913, it belonged to Dongxiang, anda county. In March 1946, it belonged to the Fourth District of Anda county. In April 1956, Laohugang township was established. In November 1960, it was renamed Laohugang commune. In April 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In May 1985, the township was transformed into a town. In April 2001, the cultural township was incorporated into China. In October 2019, Laohugang town governs 10 administrative villages.
