Modaoshi town

Modaoshi town is located in Mudanjiang City, adjacent to Muling City in the East, 1km away from national highway 301, bordering Mudanfeng National Nature Reserve in the south, binsui railway runs through the East and West, and traffic extends in all directions. The total administrative area of the town is 483 square kilometers, with a total population of 30000 and cultivated land area of 60000 mu. The origin of the name

Modaoshi Town, legend, the territory of Nanshan stone can be modaoshi, hence the name.

Historical evolution

In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of ningguta. In 1901 (the 27th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), the middle east railway opened to traffic and set up stations, known as "ten stations". During the period of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Ning'an county. It was assigned to Muling County in 1925 and Ning'an County in 1929. After the fall of Northeast China, modaoshibao was set up in 1933 and modaoshicun was set up in 1939. In October of the same year, it was under the jurisdiction of Muling county. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, modaoshi township was set up in April 1946. In January 1947, the grindstone area was set up. In the spring of 1948, it was under the jurisdiction of Mudanjiang city. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, in November 1949, it was put under the jurisdiction of Muling county and divided into the seventh district. In April 1951, Qingmei village, Fuchang village and sidaolingzi village were put under the jurisdiction of Mudanjiang city. In March 1956, the township was removed and modaoshi township was set up. In September 1958, it was renamed modaoshi people's commune. In August 1984, it was changed into modaoshi township. In March 1985, the township was changed to modaoshi Town, and in June 2010, it was transferred to Yangming District of Mudanjiang city.
