Shengchang town is under the jurisdiction of Jixian County. It is located in the southeast of the county, bordering Hongxinglong Administration Bureau of Heilongjiang General Bureau of agricultural reclamation in the East, Shuangyashan City in the South and Taibao town of Sifangtai District in Shuangyashan City in the West. The town government is 22 km away from the county. Fuqian railway transit and set up stations, and Furao highway transit.
On May 26, 2020, Shengchang town was selected into the list of strong agricultural towns in 2020.
Historical evolution
Shengchang town was formerly known as "Guoqiang jieji". In 1947, Tang Shengchang, head of the independent regiment of Jixian County and veteran soldier of the Red Army, died here to suppress bandits. In memory of the revolutionary martyrs, he named the martyr "Shengchang" (homonym for "Sheng", meaning "Sheng"). Originally under the jurisdiction of Fujin County, in June 1946, it was assigned to the newly established Jixian County, under the jurisdiction of Taiping District. In March 1956, Shengchang Township and Taibao Township were set up. In the autumn of 1958, Shengchang township was renamed Shengchang people's commune. It was changed to Shengchang Township in 1984. In June 1985, Shengchang town was established.
Physical and geographical conditions
Shengchang town is located in low mountains, hills and plains. The total area of the town is 132 square kilometers, with 105000 mu of arable land. It is one of the towns with more commodity grain sales in Jixian County.

Administrative planning
The town has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages, including Yongsheng, Youhao, Wuxing, Youli, Lixin, Ailin, Baofeng, Changxing, Xingdong, Huashan, Zhentai, Xinlin, Fenglin, Dexing, Zhongan, Gongan, Dongfanghong, Chunlin, Taisheng, Daxing, Sanfang and Taichang. At the end of 1992, the total population of the town was 23000, of which 2506 were non-agricultural. The population of Manchu and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 6.5%. The town government is located in Taichang village.
