Agriculture

Agriculture is the leading industry of farm. Rice, soybean, corn, wheat and some economic crops are the main planting industries. The total output of grain and soybean reached 370000 tons in 2009, and the per capita income reached 20000 yuan. It has more than 6000 sets of large-scale agricultural machinery, and the comprehensive mechanization degree is more than 96%.

geographical position

290 farm is located in Suibin County, the intersection of Songhua River and Heilongjiang River in the east of Heilongjiang Province. It faces Tongjiang City in the East and Russia in the north.

Historical evolution

The second division of agricultural construction moved to reclaim northern wasteland

The 290 farm is named after the unit code of the 5th regiment of the 2nd agricultural construction division (formerly the 290th regiment of the 97th infantry division of the Chinese people's Liberation Army). In June 1955, the fifth regiment of the second agricultural construction division entered the northeast area of Jixian County as a unit. In October of the same year, the Central Military Commission ordered the second agricultural construction division to change its business locally. Heilongjiang Provincial State Farm Management Department respects the wishes of the soldiers of the 290 regiment and named it "290 farm".

The total land area is 801 square kilometers. The farm has 11 management areas, 26 operation stations and more than 30 industrial, commercial, transportation, construction and service units, with a total population of 19676 (2010).

Cultivated land

At present, there are 40066 hectares of cultivated land, 10200 hectares, 10.70% of forest coverage, 4335 hectares of grassland, 12545 hectares of water surface, and 18662 hectares of effective irrigation area, accounting for 47% of the total cultivated land.

Animal Husbandry

Dairy industry is the leading industry in animal husbandry. There are 5092 cows in the farm. At the same time, beef cattle, pigs, sheep and all kinds of poultry industry have been greatly developed. Farm sideline production has formed a comprehensive industrial system of product processing, livestock processing, machinery manufacturing, food processing and so on. The milk powder produced by the dairy factory, which processes 60 tons of fresh milk per day, has won the titles of provincial and ministerial excellence for many years. Milk powder, soybean powder, flour and other agricultural and livestock products produced by the farm are designated as "green food" by China Green Food Development Center.

infrastructure

Since the reform and opening up, especially in recent years, 290 farm has comprehensively promoted the construction of infrastructure and small towns, and gradually formed an infrastructure system with smooth water and land transportation, convenient communication, abundant water and electricity supply, and perfect living facilities. Highways extend in all directions. The western highway is connected with Zhongren Town section of 312 provincial highway, and Suidong town in the south. The bus and passenger vehicles with 25 shifts per day can directly reach Suibin, Fujin, Hegang, Jiamusi and Harbin. As one of the demonstration farms for the construction of small towns, 290 farm has spent 55 million yuan on the construction of small towns in recent years, building 3 kilometers of cement roads, building 24884 square meters of residential buildings, and 17 square meters of per capita living area. In 1992, 6000 program-controlled telephones were built, and the telephone penetration rate reached 77%. CATV realizes optical cable transmission and watches more than 30 programs at the same time. The popularization rate of cable TV is 96.8%. Over the past few years, 15 million yuan has been invested in education. Farm middle school was awarded "key middle school in reclamation area", and the enrollment rate of children reached 100%. The staff hospital has advanced and modern medical facilities, and more than 50 primary medical rooms are all standardized.
