Dazhong Township, subordinate to Baiquan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the northwest of Baiquan County, bordering Xingnong town in the East, Fengchan town in the south, Changchun Town in the West and Binhe town in Keshan County in the north. The people's government is 26 kilometers away from the county seat, with a total administrative area of 184 square kilometers.
After the middle of Qing Dynasty, the area of Dazhong township was the nomadic land of yikeming'an banner; at the beginning of 1984, it was changed from Dazhong people's commune to Dazhong township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the township was 25138. In 2019, Dazhong village governs 8 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Dazhong village.
The main crops in Dazhong township are wheat, soybean, corn, flax, sugar beet, etc. the township run industries include joint processing plant, starch plant, etc. In 2018, Dazhong township has two industrial enterprises and one comprehensive store or supermarket with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
After the middle of Qing Dynasty, the area of Dazhong township was the nomadic land of yikeming'an banner. In 1902, Wu Yunfeng came here to cultivate and was gradually inhabited, so it was named Wu Yunfeng village. In 1906, it was put under the jurisdiction of Baiquan County, and it was divided into three rows and fourteen wells.
In May 1938, Xinmin village was established. In 1945, it was the Xinmin District of Baiquan County.
In 1950, it was changed into 11 districts.
In March 1956, the district township was removed and Dazhong township was set up.
In September 1958, Dazhong township was renamed Dazhong people's commune.
At the beginning of 1984, the government and society were separated, and the public people's commune was changed into the public township.
