Beilian town
Beilian Town, subordinate to Keshan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the central part of Keshan County, adjacent to Xianghua Township in the East and south, Xijian Township in the West and Shuguang Township in the north. It has one community and seven administrative villages, with a total administrative area of 225.72 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population was 22560.
In 2018, beilian town has 18 industrial enterprises and 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters. On May 26, 2020, beilian town was selected into the list of strong agricultural towns in 2020.
Historical evolution
In 1937, liudacun was established.
In 1946, Liuda village was transformed into Liuda district.
In January 1949, Liuda district was renamed Beilian district.
In March 1960, it was changed to beilian commune.
In July 1983, beilian commune was transformed into Beilian township.
In July 1985, Beilian township was transformed into beilian town.
administrative division
By the end of 2011, beilian town had jurisdiction over seven administrative villages, namely Xinxing, Tongfu, liming, Minxing construction, Beihe and Fuxing.
In 2019, beilian town governs one community and seven administrative villages: Zhenzhi first community, Tongfu village, Xinxing village, Liming Village, Minxing village, Fuxing village, Beihe village and Jianshe village. The town people's government is located in Xinxing village.

History and culture
Name and origin
It was originally named Meng Zhaoji tun. In 1908, Meng Zhaoji came here to open up wasteland and set up power, so it was named Meng Zhaoji power. Because the jurisdiction is located in the north of Keshan County, it was renamed "beilian".
