Wuchang town

Wuchang Town, belonging to Wuchang City, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the northwest of Wuchang City. It is connected with Minmin town in the East, Dujia town in the south, Xingsheng town in the West and Anjia town in the north. In 2018, the area was 87 square kilometers, and the registered residence was 132073.

The name of Wuchang town comes from the "three cardinal guides and five permanent rules" proposed by Dong Zhongshu. In 1881, when the hall was set up in Huanxiling, there were five Jia societies, so Huanxiling was changed to Wuchang. In 1958, Wuchang town commune was established. In 1980, the commune was transformed into a town.

In October 2019, Wuchang town has 10 communities and 10 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 265 industrial enterprises in Wuchang Town, including 58 large-scale enterprises and 368 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

The name of the town comes from Dong Zhongshu's "three cardinal guides and five constant rules". In 1881, when the hall was set up in Huanxiling, there were five Jia societies, so Huanxiling was changed to Wuchang.

In the early Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Fuyu mansion on Shangjing road of Bohai State.

Jin belongs to Shangjing Prefecture, formerly known as Huanxiling.

Qing Kangxi 23 years (1684), belongs to ningguta vice capital system.

In 1946, it belonged to Chengguan District, later renamed the first district.

In 1958, Wuchang town commune was established.

In 1980, the commune was transformed into a town.
