Qing Dynasty, known as wujimihetun, belongs to Changshou county.

In 1922, after the establishment of wuzhu River, wuzhu River town was established.

In 1927, it was renamed Zhuhe Town, belonging to Zhuhe county.

In 1934, it was renamed Chongde Town, belonging to the first district of Zhuhe county.

In 1937, it was changed into Zhuhe street, with jurisdiction over nine districts.
