Xiqin Manchu Township
Xiqin Manchu Township is under the jurisdiction of Shuangcheng district. It is located in the southwest of the area. The township government is 20 kilometers away from the city. The whole country is located in the east of Songnen Plain, with black soil plain in the East and alkaline soil plain and grassland in the west, covering a total area of 126 square kilometers.
Historical evolution
Xiqin rural area, in the early Qing Dynasty, was a vast uncultivated wasteland. In the late Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1815-1820), Qi Ding was transferred to Tunken, and "Eight Banners yingzi" (also known as xinyingzi) was established. Youtun was added and zuoling yamen (xiguansuo) was set up. Among the 18 natural villages in the township, 16 are qitun, namely xianghongqitoutun, Ertun, Santun and Wutun, zhenghuangqitoutun, situn, Wutun and Liutun, zhenghongqitoutun and Wutun. During the period of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of the Sixth District of Shuangcheng county. In the late period of the Japanese occupation of Northeast China, it was under the jurisdiction of Shangzhi, Shangxian and Shangfang villages. After the victory of the "93" Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was divided into the 13th district at the end of the same year. In December 1948, it was changed into Yongsheng district and then into the 13th district. In March 1956, the township was removed and Yufeng and Xiqin townships were set up. In September 1958, Xiqin people's commune was established. In the spring of 1984, it was changed into Xiqin Township, and in July 1988, it was changed into Xiqin Manchu Township. At that time, the Manchu population accounted for more than 52% of the total population of the township. Xiqin township is an early place for Shuangcheng to realize agricultural cooperation. In August 1954, the Ministry of agriculture and industry of the provincial Party committee carried out a pilot project of agricultural cooperation development planning in Xiqin village, and its experience of "comprehensive planning and strengthening leadership" was affirmed by Chairman Mao. The township covers an area of 118000 mu of cultivated land. Youyi canal flows 8 km through the territory, and seven villages benefit from farmland irrigation. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 19500. Township government resident Yufeng village xianghongqi Ertun.

The main crops are corn, soybean, sorghum, rice, flax, beet, etc. Township run industries include agricultural machinery repair, comprehensive processing, flax raw material processing, brick factory, etc.
